Arrow In-Game Mail

My idea for in-game mail is simple:
-Talk to a xunlai agent and perchase a mailbox as an upgrade to storage.
-To the right of materials tab in storage will be a "Mail" tab.
-Clicking on this tab will bring you to a menu like this:

*MailBox*
+Your Mail
+Contacts
+Bad sender List
+Write Letter

Items described below:

:Your Mail will open a window about the same size as the storage window. All mail that has not been deleted will be shown. Mail that has been read already will have an "eye" to it's left, where as new mail will lack it. Here you can click a letter to read it, select them to delete or perhaps have to add somebody to the "Bad Sender List".

:Contacts will again open a storage sized window with a list of your contacts which appear the same as the friend list. All friends are added to contacts by default when mail-box is perchased. Contacts can be removed or added like friends list.

:Bad Sender List is exactly like the ignored list. People on ignored list are added by default on perchase and more can be added or removed.

:Write letter simply opens a larger window where you will type a letter and send it to either a contact, or type in the person it is to be sent to. Composing will include a "Subject" and "Second Reciever." Second reciever will get an exact same copy of the letter you are sending; like a carbon copy.

USE: Say you want to get in touch with the guild leader for some reason but he's/she's not online. You go write a letter so that when they check their mail they can respond. Also players may meet friends from different time zones and have trouble playing at the same hours. Mailing will enable them to talk, send advice or whatever without both being online to engage in live chat.

Thats my idea, hope you like it.

Default Good Idea

It would be an amazing idea with the addition to an Auction House.......Good thinking.

Yeah, but Anet would say:

"This is currently not possible with the way GW is structured/programmed/etc"

For GW2, it sounds like a good feature.

WoW can't say copying rubbish because many games have mailboxes. Unless anet stole their code then there'd be no problems.

But yes, a-nets servers arn't big enough to handle this sort of afk storage, the same problem with the AH.

The fact is, with GW2 will come bigger persistant servers which will be able to manage storing mail and and items and such like while a person is offline.

the only I can think of doing this would be to have a kind of 'remote /bonus command'. So when you send a friend a letter it triggers the creation of an item in their storage mailbox. Within that item is stored a text string (same as if you'd pm'ed them). They can click on the letter item to read it, but there'd have to be a pretty big character cap.
